Operation and maintenance (O&M) benchmarking
Benchmarking can help you identify gaps in your building performance and the industry averageThe need to improve building’s operational performance is a well-known matter in the industry. Benchmarking can be used as a tool to help building operators better understand what they are currenlty achieving, how this compares with industry best practice and what opportunities there are to improve.
The BSRIA O&M benchmarking network provides annually updated information and benchmark data to help the network members to evaluate their performance against their peers. Relevant data is gathered mainly on energy, maintenance and occupant satisfaction. Data is categorised by type, size and location of the buildings for more meaningful comparison.
BSRIA also runs regular events and seminars on key O&M – related industry topics such as:
improving efficiency of building services
reducing maintenance costs
The network promotes best practice within the industry and provides networking opportunities through the events held throughout the year.
