Growth of BSRIA's Compliance Division has led to acquisition of new fleet of vansSeptember 2015

BSRIA's new fleet of executive vans
The increase in the growth of BSRIA’s compliance division has led to the recent acquisition of a new fleet of executive vans to strengthen its existing fleet. The expansion of the department has been due largely to the level of house building rising throughout 2015 and, in turn, the need for more compliance work.

According to the latest Markit/CIPS UK Construction PMI survey, out of the three sub-categories of construction work, residential construction had the fastest pace of expansion, while commercial construction reached its highest level since March.

The industry barometer reported that more than half of the survey panel (53 per cent) said they anticipate a rise in business activity over the next 12 months, while only 5 per cent forecast a reduction. In the long-term this should boost margins and, most importantly of all, ensure a more robust construction sector. This is fuelling buoyancy about potential output for the remainder of the year.

Chris Knights, General Manager, Compliance Testing Department, said: “We are delighted that BSRIA has this new suite of top-of-the-range vans in our fleet of existing vans which will, in turn, strengthen our offering to our members. This upsurge in the construction and, most specifically, the housing market is driving the growth in our department, which is excellent news. And in the long term, they will offer a more profitable solution, especially with the greener fuel options they provide. Driver safety is of paramount importance too.”

Building performance and zero carbon housing is a key issue for BSRIA and its members. These vans will help streamline this process.

The 10 new vans will help meet demand for such growth and enhance BSRIA’s work for its clients, including its ventilation work, testing for airtightness testing activity, sound insulation and general compliance work.

The new vans have each been installed with a camera – which will not only prevent the risk of theft, but, most importantly, enhance driver safety.
