BSRIA staging O&M Benchmarking Network Event: Measuring Occupant WellbeingAugust 2017

June Davis, BSRIA Business Manager, BSRIA North
BSRIA is delighted to be staging the ‘Measuring Occupant Wellbeing’ event, part of its Residential Network events programme, on Thursday 7th September, from 9:30 – 14:30 hrs in Manchester. With a range of topics covered, this event is expected to attract the interest of both public and private stakeholders initiating a constructive dialogue between the two on how calculating wellbeing can be addressed.

We are witnessing a rapidly expanding interest in improving building occupants’ wellbeing.

Many organisations have started to become more concerned and interested in offering an environment that can improve occupants’ wellbeing. All descriptions of wellbeing indicate that it is more than just the “lack of negative situations, such as illness”, but also includes positive features such as happiness. ‘Well’ buildings can support the occupants to thrive and happily achieve their optimum ability.

The event will consider:

  • How to embed wellbeing in your workplace.
  • Using building data to predict wellbeing and productivity.
  • Requirements for tracking health and wellbeing in buildings.
  • A workshop to develop how this could be managed in the building.
  • IoT: enabling a healthy workforce in healthy buildings.

BSRIA will also be launching its new Wellbeing Network.

June Davis, Business Manager, BSRIA North, said:

“Any measures that mean a workforce performs at its peak performance and generally flourish is crucial in today’s working environment. Both in terms of happiness and the economic output gained therein for any business.

Wellbeing is the mixture of light, air, space and noise levels to achieve the perfect work environment and optimum output and indeed getting the right balance to realise this.

This event will address how data and researched facts can deliver wellbeing and will certainly get the hares running! We urge members and industry to attend to learn more and share their views with fellow guests.”
