Elizabeth has a background in both Science and Teaching and has been working in the water treatment field of pre-commission cleaning since 1988.
She was initially employed by companies who undertook water treatment but recognising the industry need for advice that is independent from that offered by chemical manufacturers or water treatment companies undertaking site work, she set up as a consultant in 1998 offering advice on cleaning of new and fouled water systems in the building services industry.
Elizabeth has taken an active role on various committees and steering groups for BSRIA and British Standards.
She was on the steering group that helped produce BSRIA guides AG 1/2001.1 (Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems 3rd edition), BG 29/2012 (Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems 4th edition) and BG 50/2013 (Water Treatment of Closed Building Services). She was also recently involved with producing British Standard BS8552 Monitoring water quality in building services closed systems.
Elizabeth now lectures on BSRIA's Pre-Commission Cleaning of Pipework Systems course.
