Chris Thompson has broad experience on BSRIA projects backed up by practical HVAC design and CAD experienceChris Thompson is an experienced research engineer, providing technical research and consultancy for energy, building modelling and building services issues including the investigation of material failures and condition monitoring. Chris has experience in LCA and European research projects on a wide range of topics but mainly focused around the construction and building services industries.
Chris joined BSRIA in 2015 and has been a research engineer since July 2016. His recent UK and European research portfolio includes boiler flue testing methods, thermography, road material lifecycles, aerial drone imagery, project management platforms, 3D data capture systems and hygrothermal envelope simulation.
His consultancy activities have included managing projects on domestic heating and ventilation and numerous failure investigations.
Prior to joining BSRIA, Chris worked on design and installation of HVAC and domestic services systems as a CAD draughtsman.
