Soft Landings Conference 2019

Features

New for 2019 - Soft Landings Awards. Enter now via the details below.

BSRIA is delighted to be staging its fourth flagship Soft Landings conference:  Quality and performance – two sides of the same coin. The conference will take place on Friday 14th June, kindly hosted by Arup.

Dr Michelle Agha-Hossein, Soft Landings Operational Lead at BSRIA discusses the fourth annual conference

Soft Landings is an outcome-based building delivery approach which runs through the project, from inception to completion and beyond, to ensure the client’s expectations and the end users’ needs are met when the building is in operation. It is all about narrowing the performance gap between design intent and operational outcomes.

BSRIA is excited to have Iain Trent, Engineering Director at Landsec, as its keynote speaker.

Dr Michelle Agha-Hossein, Soft Landings Operational Lead at BSRIA, said: “The term ‘Soft Landings’ has been used in the construction industry for nearly 10 years now. We have seen in recent years that the number of clients requiring Soft Landings for their projects is growing. However, it is important to recognise and raise awareness about the benefits that Soft Landings can deliver to both clients and project delivery teams. This year, the conference provides a perfect opportunity for clients and construction professionals to hear case studies of different buildings that have benefited from Soft Landings, and discuss its value.”

If you are a building owner, investor, architect, designer, contractor, project manager or facilities manager and would like to know how your project can benefit from Soft Landings, this conference is for you. Book on!"
