BSRIA Soft Landings Conference 2018: Soft Landings - a culture for all projects

Features

BSRIA is delighted to be staging its flagship 2018 Soft Landings Conference: Soft Landings – a culture for all projects.

Michelle Agha-Hossein introduces the BSRIA Soft Landings Conference 2018

The conference will take place on Friday 15th June at RICS, London.

What is Soft Landings?
Soft Landings is a building delivery process which runs through the project, from inception to completion and beyond, to ensure all decisions made during the project are based on improving operational performance of the building and meeting the client's expectations. It provides a step-by-step process for clients and their project teams to follow in order to avoid pitfalls and deliver a better performing product.

The aim of the conference
This conference will help clients and construction professionals  better understand how Soft Landings can be procured and implemented in small and large projects.  The conference will include case studies of successful Soft Landings projects. Please find the full agenda attached.

We are excited to have Carol Lelliott, a partner at  Nicholas Hare Architects as our keynote speaker this year.

Dr Michelle Agha-Hossein, Sustainable Building Consultant, BSRIA

Who should attend?
If you are a client, architect, designer, engineer, facilities manager or project manager, and would like to know more about Soft Landings, and how your project can benefit from it, we encourage you to book on!  There will be excellent opportunities for Q&A and Networking.

Dr Michelle Agha-Hossein, Soft Landings Operational Lead at BSRIA, says:

“The UK construction industry suffers from a fragmented approach to project conception, execution and delivery, resulting in 'performance gaps'.  Soft Landings is a building delivery process, suitable for all projects regardless of their types and sizes, that if adopted properly can help to close the performance gap.  Soft Landings introduces a small change in what the construction industry normally does, but requires a marked shift in the way the industry thinks and behaves.”
