Ralph is a highly experienced Facilities and Building Engineer with over 40 years' experience
Ralph is a senior Facilities Management Consultant within BSRIA's Sustainable Buildings Group. He provides fact based guidance and consultancy services that help those involved in designing, constructing and operating services in buildings to improve cost, quality, time and predictability of performance.
His role covers building services specification reviews and design reviews, researching and writing building services guidance.
Ralph is a highly experienced Facilities and Building Engineer with over 40 years' experience. He has an excellent knowledge of building maintenance and operating systems.
Career Summary
Prior to joining BSRIA Ralph served 26 years in the Royal Navy and was responsible for the operation and maintenance of various plant and systems found on a warship.
On leaving the service he progressed to Facilities and Building Services Manager on government sites in Westminster and in the City and has experience in a wide variety of mechanical and electrical installations.
Ralph has recently been consulted and employed in the setting up of planned maintenance systems and the writing of method statements, Health & Safety files and Operation & Maintenance manuals for both large and small projects.
Ralph is author of technical guide Condition Surveys and Asset Data Capture BG35/2012
