A high BREEAM rating can help get planning permission, finance and enhanced rental income
"Good concise explanation/instruction of BREEAM",
Karl Foote, Kingspan Renewables
"Clear and logical presentations", Rachel Mellows, Marks & Spencer

Increasingly, sustainable developments are being specified by clients as well as becoming a common planning requirement. BREEAM (the BRE Environmental Assessment Method) is the most frequently used tool to assess these requirements and measures all areas of sustainability, social, economic and environmental impact of the building design and the construction processes.

Understanding BREEAM will cover the 2011 updates. Read more

It will help anyone involved in projects needing a BREEAM assessment by providing:

  • a basic understanding of sustainability and environmental assessment
  • an appreciation of the process involved in BREEAM and the important roles of designers, contractors and project managers
  • an understanding of how to improve the BREEAM rating of a building
  • an awareness of other sources of information for further study
