Duct air leakage tests

Airtight ductwork is one of the keys to a quality heating and cooling system. It helps make the building healthy, comfortable and energy efficient. 

BSRIA provides laboratory or on-site testing of different types of ducts:

• Rectangular with flanged duct joints in accordance with HVCA standard DW144 / TM1 : 1987.
• Ductwork with circular sections or round ducts in accordance with other European and International standards.

A test certificate is issued on completion together with a comprehensive report detailing the joint rating, measured flange deflection, material characteristics and air leakage rate.

Both laboratory and on-site testing are available.
