Building environmental assessment network
**News** BEAN submits response to the Ska retail cosultation.
Launched on the 13th July 2011, the Building environmental assessment network (BEAN) is envisioned as a group to allow licensed assessors, clients and design teams using one of the systems listed below to discuss relevant issues and become an industry "voice" to provide feedback to the providers of the methodologies.
As a starting point the network would cover the following assessment methods:
- BREEAM
- LEED
- Code for Sustainable Homes
- SAP (Domestic energy assessments)
- SBEM (Commercial energy assessments)
All the included assessment methods cover the design and construction of new and refurbished buildings.
BEAN meetings
The Network meets approximately four times a year for face-to-face discussions, presentations etc.
Our latest meeting in February 2012 on 'BREEAM - what's your opinion?' presented the latest on BREEAM and gave opportunity for delegates to feedback into future developments. Download presentations below:
- Setting the scene - Dave Cheshire, AECOM
- BREEAM today & tomorrow - Tim Bevan, BRE
