EU energy legislation impacts on HVAC products

Following the success of quarter 1 and quarter 2 of BSRIA's study on EU energy legislations on HVAC products, Autumn will see the publication of the third quarter which covers the German Renewable Heating Law (EEWärmeG).

With this new law the German government aims to increase the share of renewable energy with regards to heating demand from 6 to 14% until 2020. From 1 January, 2009 on owners and operators of private, commercial and public buildings will have to provide a minimum share of their energy demand by renewable energy. BSRIA's third quarter report reviews how this law will impact HVAC products in the market and aim to help your company prepare for changes in the market as a result of the German Renewable Heating Law.

The complete report analyses the impact that current and future directives and legislation will have on HVAC products. The report will be delivered on a quarterly basis covering the following three directives:

  • EPBD
  • EUP
  • ESD

The first quarter of the report concentrates on France, Germany, UK, Spain and Italy, and the second quarter includes a 4 country update (Spain, UK, France and Germany), F-Gas and the RES Directive.

Benefits of the study include:

  • a focus strategy you need in different countries
  • reference guideline for long term and investment for new products
  • customer insights on trends in product range and mix
  • direct and indirect "motives" behind directives and legislation

The report is delivered in the following format.

  3. Word document outlining the background of the different legislation EPBD and ESD
