BSRIA's work: CFD for wind climate assessment
BSRIA carried out computer simulations to quantify the effects of the proposed development on the wind climate around the surrounding buildings, the public and private amenity spaces, and the development.

Project: Glamorgan Records Office 3100m2 new build
Client: McCann and Partners Limited
BSRIA's work: Dynamic Thermal Modelling
BSRIA carried out simulations of the proposed development and calculated the internal temperatures and humidity for each hour throughout a year of operation using real weather data. 

Project: ThermaSkirt Innovative product 
Client: Discrete Heat Company Ltd
BSRIA's work: CFD simulations and testing for product comparison 
BSRIA carried out a laboratory testing of a ThermaSkirt innovative product and then used the results for product comparison using CFD. This helped predict thermal comfort in a typical room and compared the new product against the conventional radiators

BSRIA carried out an assessment of the extent of solar shading and its effects onto the neighbourhood in the original design. The test results provided reassurance to the planning authority prior to granting planning permission
