What information do we collect? How do we use it?
  • When you order from the BSRIA Bookshop, we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and the card's expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your orders and to notify you of the status of your order.
  • We also ask for your telephone number which enables us to contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order.
  • When you register on-line for a seminar, to obtain a download or other services and information, we may ask for your name, address and e-mail address so we can administer the request.
  • We may choose to store some information on your own hard disk ('a cookie'). You may choose to accept or delete cookies. Deleting them may mean that some areas of our site will not operate correctly.
  • We may also use the information we collect to notify you about new activities and products that are available from BSRIA Ltd we think you'll find valuable. How does BSRIA Ltd protect customer information?

1. BSRIA Bookshop. When you place orders through the BSRIA Bookshop, we offer the use of a secure server for credit card transactions. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us.

2. Bookshop and other Areas As required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of all information you have given us, to prevent unauthorised access. Our security procedures mean that we may occasionally request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.

Will BSRIA Ltd disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
BSRIA does not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others. We may choose to do so in the future with trustworthy third parties, but you can tell us not to either by sending an e-mail message to bsria@bsria.co.uk or by contacting Marketing Services at BSRIA on 01344 465600.
