October 2009

Companies from across the supply chain joined BSRIA's Soft Landings User Group (click image to zoom)The launch meeting for the BSRIA Soft Landings User Group was held on 30 September. The User Group was set up to help companies apply Soft Landings, a framework to keep project teams involved beyond practical completion to help fine-tune and de-bug systems and ensure occupiers understand and get best use of their buildings.
Chaired by Gary Clark of architect Bennetts Associates, the User Group is made up of companies from across the supply chain who are keen to gain the benefits of Soft Landings and learn from the experience of others.
Roderic Bunn, Manager of the User Group was delighted with the level of interest, "The number and quality of the companies involved in the User Group demonstrates the desire in the industry to ensure new buildings work for occupants as intended. As Soft Landings awareness grows and performance-aware clients specify it on projects, those developing their Soft Landings capabilities will enjoy a distinct competitive advantage."
