Building Regulations consultation response
September 2010

Over 40 delegates from BSRIA Member companies attended a workshop to give industry views on Building RegulationsBSRIA was invited to provide input to a consultation on Building Regulations by Andrew Stunell, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Communities and Local Government. The broad thrust concerned compliance, but the Minister was looking for other input as well. He wrote:
"I want to hear the views of our external partners on how the regulations can be improved, added to, or slimmed down and your suggestions as to how we can deliver even better levels of compliance in the future.
As I've already touched upon, our work, now more than ever, needs to be underpinned by robust evidence so that we can make the right choices and understand clearly the costs and benefits. So I also want to ask you for evidence to support your ideas."
