Changes to the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations - effective July 2008

May 2008

This edition adopts all IEC and CENELEC Harmonised Documents published to date. Among changes, the circumstances where Residual Current Devices (RCDs) are required have been expanded. The regulations concerned with locations containing a bath or shower have been substantially revised. Regulations relating to wind turbines, solar power, CHP, and hydropower have been introduced. A new section has also been introduced on luminaires and lighting.
