Introduction
In England & Wales, all building work must comply with Building Regulations before the building can be occupied. Similar regulations exist in Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. The regulations themselves and the large volume of supporting guidance can be overwhelming, even for experienced users. This webinar will cover the basics of Building Regulations and give sources for more detailed information.
Topics covered will include:
* Why we have Building Regulations
* The legal structure
* Enforcement and compliance procedures
* An overview of each of the parts A-P
* Workmanship & Materials
* Related European and UK legislation
The lecturer, David Bleicher
David Bleicher worked as a building services engineer for 7 years before joining BSRIA in 2005. David currently develops and delivers training courses in topics such as Building Regulations and domestic airtightness testing. He also carries out consulting work for BSRIA in fields such as renewable energy and design reviews.
