Chilled Ceilings/Beams testing
 BSRIA examines all types of chilled ceiling panels and beams in combination with appropriate ventilation strategies.
We test cooling capacity, thermal and environmental performance for product development or specific applications:
• Passive chilled beams testing to EN 14518 standard
• Active chilled beams testing to prEN 15116
• Mock-up testing for specific project applications
Mock-up testing
Unlike any other product, the cooling performance of chilled beams depends on the correct use and installation site. Mock-up testing ensures the installation will meet the required cooling and comfort criteria. It also enables for real-world scenarios to be explored and experienced in a controlled environment and before installation on site.
A mock-up typically includes fully operational chilled ceiling system with BMS controls, fresh air supply grilles and extracts, and luminaires. The inclusion of other equipment and people simulators help create a more realistic setting.
